TONY STEWART was left injured after a terrifying 335MPH drash during a drag race.

The top NHRA star endured a horror exit from the Reading Nationals as he collided with Doug Kalitta's car.

Stewart , 54, had reached a staggering speed of 335mph when his car was hit.

The NASCAR Hall of Famer's car was caught after Kalitta's car crossed over the center line.

Footage of the terrifying incident showed Kalitta's car lose a front wheel, which caused it to drive into Stewart's lane.

The cars collided and caused Stewart's car to momentarily flip onto its side before righting itself.

Stewart was able to walk away from the crash with help from the NHRA Safety Safari.

However, he has admitted that he can not remember the crash at all but was left with "one hell of a headache".
