Mayor Sandy Bowman confirmed the number during a special council meeting on Thursday, which was also council’s last public meeting before the Oct. 20 municipal election. The investigation is ongoing and charges have not yet been laid. Article content

“They’re about the same for 2023 and 2024, they’re both about $400,000 if not climbing a little north of that. Which would mean over $800,000 in two years,” said Bowm
