GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gator soccer team falls 2-1 on Thursday to No. 24 Oklahoma in their first SEC road game of the season.

The Gators (4-5, 0-2 SEC) and Sooners (8-1. 1-1 SEC) were scoreless going into the 2nd half.

Oklahoma got on the board first when Juliette Rayo scored just 22 seconds into the 2nd half.

Florida was able to tie the game in the 64th minute with a Skye Barnes goal.

The Sooners regained the lead in the 80th minute with a Lexi Dendis goal. The goal stood after a review for a potential offsides.

“I know we can have success in this league. We are too committed and talented to have our belief waiver” Samantha Bohon, Florida head coach, said.

The Gators will return on home on Sunday to face off against No. 15 South Carolina. The game is set for 4 p.m.
