Jimmy Kimmel’s fellow late-night show hosts Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon – as well as Colbert’s predecessor David Letterman – have weighed in with comments supporting the embattled star after his show was suspended from America’s ABC network .

Kimmel’s show was sensationally suspended on Thursday (AEST) after he suggested that the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing might have been a pro-Trump Republican.

At issue were comments Kimmel made taking aim at MAGA supporters for “desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it”.
