ESCANABA — There were signs of improvement for the Bay College volleyball team as they fell to North Central Michigan College (NCMC) 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17 here Thursday.
The Norse jumped out to a fast start as they sent on a seven-point scoring run by sophomore Hilarie Porcaro to give the Norse a 10-4 lead. Sophomore Addie Morton and freshman Ava Maki each had a pair of kills during the scoring run.
Norse freshman Haylee Gatien had a pair of kills in the first set the first one came on a nice kill in the corner to put the Norse up 15-11 and the second one came late in the set putting the Norse up 24-18.
