MONROE CHARTER TWP. , MI — Someone complained about the weeds at a Brentwood Drive home.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, Lee Southworth, Monroe Charter Township's new blight inspector, drove out to the home. The weeds in question were short, so they didn't violate the township’s noxious weed ordinance.

Sourthworth moved on to his next complaint, another report of noxious weeds, this time on Telegraph Road. That yard not only had weeds over the 8 inch height limit, but Southworth saw piles of trash.
