JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A woman accused of pointing a fake gun at passing cars faces very real charges.
Just before 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman “walking down the old highway between Reyno and Datto,” pointing a gun at passing vehicles.
Sheriff Ronnie Cole said a deputy who found the woman pulled his weapon when she began “reaching for something in her waistband.”
“The deputy advised her not to draw the weapon and to get on the ground,” Cole said in a Thursday news release. “When the deputy removed the weapon, he realized it was a toy that looked like a real gun.”
The deputy arrested 21-year-old Alyssa Lone Daniel of Missouri and took her to the Clay County Detention Center, where she was booked in on charges of first-degree
