It feels like the world has probably seen the last of Jimmy Kimmel hosting a late-night show for ABC after the network put him on indefinite hiatus this week.

Kimmel got the boot after FCC Chairman Brendan Carr threatened to take action against ABC after Kimmel’s Sept. 15 monologue.

While speaking on Benny Johnson’s podcast Wednesday, Carr said the FCC has “remedies we can look at.”

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” he told Johnson. “These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”
