SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - An area of low pressure has been meandering around the region for the last 24 hours. It will continue to hover overhead meaning rain chances remain in the forecast.

FRIDAY

A few occasional showers are expected in northern Siouxland through the rest of the morning. This afternoon and this evening, a batch of showers is expected to pass through southern Siouxland. Rain totals will stay below a tenth of an inch for most. A few communities could approach a quarter of an inch.

Expect a slightly cooler day as temperatures peak in the upper-60s and low-70s. The sky will be mostly cloudy with a few peeks of sun every once in a while.

Coverage will be minimal, but a few showers cannot be ruled out overnight. Patchy fog is possible in low-lying and river valley
