Land recently cleared in a growing corridor on the east side of Bremerton is making room for a Chick-Fil-A restaurant, according to county documents.

The restaurant's initial interest in Kitsap County was reported by the Kitsap Sun in 2023, when Chick-Fil-A confirmed it was planning its 21st Washington state location for a site on Highway 303 just north of Bremerton city limits, between Vena Avenue and Fuson Road. The 2.2-acre site had been purchased by the Georgia-based company in fall 2023.

Earlier in September the property was cleared of one vacant structure, trees and bushes on site, and is currently being graded. A notice from Kitsap County Department of Community Development sent Aug. 18 confirmed that Chick-Fil-A had been approved for site development, and county permit records
