A Boston woman an assault and battery charge after police say she pushed a 63-year-old woman off an MBTA bus.

Around 1 p.m. on Sept. 8, Luz Pineda, 32, and the 63-year-old woman got into a verbal argument over the older woman not getting off the bus to let Pineda out at the MBTA bus stop at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Warren Street, which serves bus routes 14, 19, 23 and 28. The argument turned physical, police said, when Pineda pushed the woman off the bus onto the sidewalk.

The Pineda was with an infant at the time of the assault, according to police.
