The Met Office has updated a yellow weather warning issued for this weekend as heavy rainfall is set to hit parts of the UK.
Forecasters have warned of flooding and disruption to travel as the worst-hit areas could see up to 80mm of rainfall.
The yellow warning for rain, which will come into force at 9am on Saturday, has been updated to include a larger part of England and Wales.
The warning area now covers the whole of Greater Manchester as well as Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, parts of the North East and a large part of Wales.
The Met Office warned that there is a "slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses" and some places could see damage due to flooding.
