The Met Office has issued a six-point 'flood plan' as "heavy rainfall" is forecast in the UK this weekend. Weather experts have identified 28 parts of the country impacted by a yellow weather warning spanning from 9am on Saturday (September 18) until 6am on Sunday (September 19).
The Met Office has included a 'what to expect' section on its warning website, which clarifies there is a "small chance" some homes and businesses could be flooded.
It explained flooding could in turn cause a "slight chance" of delays or cancellations to trains and buses.
