Human remains believed to be Travis Decker, a man wanted for the murder of his three young daughters, were found less than a mile from the crime scene.

The remains were discovered during an expanded search conducted by multiple agencies, including the FBI and U.S. Marshals, several months after the initial incident.

While positive DNA identification is pending, authorities are highly confident it is Decker due to personal items and clothing found at the remote, wooded location.

CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. - Law enforcement said late Thursday they found human remains believed to be Travis Decker, an ex-soldier wanted in the deaths of his three daughters.

The discovery less than one mile from the scene of the triple murder comes after an on and off search that lasted months.
