The Falls on the Colorado Museum in Marble Falls invites the public to a special program at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, when local photographer Martelle Luedecke will announce the winners of the “Waterscapes of Central Texas” photo contest.

The 12 winning and 12 runner-up photos will be featured in the museum’s 2026 calendar, which will be on sale at the presentation. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit museum.

Luedecke will offer insights on the contest theme, which was chosen when the Highland Lakes community was suffering from a prolonged drought.

“The museum wanted to raise awareness of the fragility of our area’s water source so that conservation is always at the forefront of our minds,” said Falls museum Chair Darlene Oostermeyer in a media release about the Sept. 20 presentation.
