Hibs have confirmed that youngster Dean Cleland has returned to the Club after a loan spell at East Kilbride.

Hibs currently have a co-operation agreement in place with the Lowland League champions who are sitting second in League Two.

Teenage goalkeeper Freddie Owens also joined the K-Park side but after regular first team football he will remain with Mick Kennedy’s team.

Cleland however has only featured in three games and it was felt his career would progress better back at the Hibs Academy.

A Hibs spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Dean Cleland has been recalled from his loan spell at East Kilbride.

“The 17-year-old featured three times for the Scottish League Two side after joining on loan in July 2025.
