UK households are being urged to keep blinds and curtains open this autumn to avoid a nasty spike in heating bills.

As temperatures begin to drop once more and the days grow shorter, many of us are looking to keep as warm as possible without it costing a tonne.

By keeping the curtains and blinds open you can keep your heating bill down as your home will naturally fill with sunlight during the day, heating your house up.
