NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A billboard popped up in West Nashville this week aimed at Cracker Barrel reading “Fire the CEO,” and another restaurant chain is taking credit.
Steak N’ Shake took to the company’s official X account Thursday afternoon claiming responsibility for the billboard stylized to look like Cracker Barrel’s controversial rebranded logo. The company later rolled back the decision to change its branding after backlash.
The beef between the companies goes back to Steak N’ Shake owner and CEO Sardar Biglari who, according to Forbes, also owns a $54.5 million dollar stake in Cracker Barrel. Biglari has launched several attacks at the Tennessee-based company in the past, including even selling hats reading “Fire Creacker Barrel CEO!” and “Biglari was right about Cracker Bar
