Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has responded to claims he was 'fuming' after missing out on a recent award to a rival EastEnders star.

The actor was recently nominate for a National Television Award for his portrayal of David Platt in the ITV soap. He was shortlisted at the 2025 ceremony, which took place earlier this month, in the serial drama performance category.

Jack was up against his Corrie co-star Sue Devaney, who is best known for playing Debbie Webster in the show, as well as EastEnders stars Steve McFadden and Jacqueline Jossa and Emmerdale actress. Eden Taylor-Draper.
