DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - De Pere police are investigating what led to a crash that killed a motorcyclist late Thursday night.

A motorcycle and car collided on the 1700 block of Fort Howard Ave. shortly before 11 p.m.

The motorcyclist died at the scene despite life-saving efforts. No further information about them, such as their age or hometown, was provided. The family is still being notified.

The driver of the car stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The Accident Reconstruction Team with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the investigation.

Fort Howard Ave. reopened to traffic early Friday morning.
