Westmoreland High School senior Jasmine Evans won The Tennessean's future teacher Student of the Week poll, taking almost all of the votes.

Evans, in fact, secured 94.54% of the vote.

School officials nominated Evans for her passion and dedication.

“Jasmine, inspired by her 2nd grade teacher who supported her through a difficult time, is determined to become an elementary educator and make a difference in the lives of others,” Westmoreland High School Counselor Tabitha Pardue said.
