The Indiana Fever are missing two of their stars in Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham... but it didn't matter in the first round of the 2025 WNBA playoffs. Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Odyssey Sims carried the team to the second round to face the Las Vegas Aces, who are looking for their third title in four seasons.
And if you're here, you're probably wondering: Does this mean that Clark can come back from injury and join the title chase?
The answer, unfortunately, is... no. As Clark announced earlier this month, she won't be back for the rest of the 2025 season while she recovers from the multiple injuries she suffered this year. That extended from a regular season in which she played just 13 games for the Fever.
Why isn't Caitlin Clark playing?
It's because of a right groin injury, but she also suffered other injuries this season. And she was left off the active roster for the playoffs.
How long is Caitlin Clark out for?
The rest of the 2025 season. We'll see her back next year.
