Auburn, N.Y. - A Cayuga County man threatened to blow up two buildings Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At approximately 1:29 p.m., James Brooks, 51, was at Auburn Community Hospital when he threatened to blow up both the hospital and the police department, according to a news release from the Auburn Police Department.

Brooks also made threats to staff and officers at the hospital, police said.

Brooks was taken into custody and brought to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.

Brooks was charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat, a felony. His bond was set at $500,000.
