A bill proposed in Illinois would name a day after Charlie Kirk.

Sen. Neil Anderson of Andalusia filed Senate Bill 2694. The bill would amend the state Commemorative Dates Act to recognize September 10 as Charlie Kirk Day. Kirk was an Illinois native who founded the conservative youth outreach organization Turning Point USA.

Kirk was assassinated on September 10.
