DOVER, Ky. (WXIX) - There is a new development in the manhunt for an attempted murder suspect who escaped from a jail in southern Ohio and fled over the Ohio River into northern Kentucky.
Authorities believe they have Brown County Jail inmate Jerry Lee Cooper, 48, “contained in a large wooded area in between Tuckahoe Road and Lee’s Creek Road,” the Mason County Sheriff’s Office announced late Friday morning on Facebook .
“Deputies and law enforcement have been out for close to 75 hours around the clock and away from their families working to apprehend him. At this time, we believe Jerry Cooper presents a major threat to law enforcement and is armed with a rifle. These woods are extremely dense and difficult to navigate.
