COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man accused of killing his wife years ago is posting bond and will be released from jail Friday, according to the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, Barry Morphew’s bond paperwork is done, and the $3 million bond has been posted. They say Morphew will be on house arrest and wearing a GPS ankle monitor.
Morphew’s attorney, David Beller, tells 11 News, “Mr. Morphew’s supporters used a bondsman to post bond.”
Morphew was arrested in June in connection with the death of his wife, Suzanne. Suzanne was reported missing on May 10, 2020, which was Mother’s Day. Her remains were found during an unrelated search in September 2023 in Saguache County.
This is the second time Morphew has been charged in connection with Suzanne’s death. Pr
