Friday, city and county officials revealed the proposed upgrades planned for Holly Park in Soddy-Daisy, thanks to a grant from Hamilton County.

The funding for improvements to the park comes from a $250,000 grant from Hamilton County’s Small-Town Grant Matching Program.

"A well-loved community asset in Soddy-Daisy, Holly Park will receive improvements that expand recreation opportunities and strengthen fishing access, reflecting a commitment to partnering with the small towns that define Hamilton County’s quality of life,” Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp’s office said.

Proposed upgrades for the park include:

New signage to increase the park’s visibility

Pergola swings overlooking the water

Additional picnic tables

ADA-compliant restrooms
