KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — People honored Conservative political activist Charlie Kirk by painting a mural of him on "The Rock" at the University of Tennessee's campus.
Students gathered at "The Rock" to honor Kirk's life on Thursday night. The mural contained the message, "Well done good and faithful servant," as well as the numbers "93-25" to represent his 31 years of life before he was assassinated during an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 .
However, someone defaced the mural at some point overnight by painting Kirk's face red and covering up the message.
Anyone can paint on the Rock, as it serves as a center for expression.
