Confirming rumors that her new album would also have a movie attached to it, Taylor Swift made an exciting announcement for her fans on Friday.
Swift posted on social media that fans can watch a new movie for her upcoming album "The Life of a Showgirl" between October 3 and October 5. The movie will contain a music video for her song "The Fate of Ophelia" and other assorted behind-the-scenes footage from the album.
The limited run through AMC Theaters Distribution also comes with one significant difference that fans should know once they have tickets.
Here is more:
While normally prohibited during traditional showtimes, AMC guests are welcome to sing and dance during TAYLOR SWIFT | THE OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY OF A SHOWGIRL. To help ensure everyone's enjoyment of the show, guests may not stand on seats or block any aisles or stairs.
While it is not exactly going to remind fans of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" screenings, it sounds like a fun time.
There are also no trailers or ads at AMC locations, so fans should arrive exactly at the listed show time.
In addition to AMC, this movie will have screens in Cinemark and Regal in the United States with expectation that they will play in "many movie theaters" in North America.
International theaters include Canada (Cineplex), Mexico (Cinepolis and Cinemex), Europe (ODEON Cinemas and Cineworld) and "numerous other" operators.
