An hourslong standoff at a home in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood ended when the suspect was taken into custody Friday night.

A spokesman for the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office says the suspect, Zachary Livingston, 30, was taken into custody late Friday evening after a 13-hour-long standoff. Advertisement

Sky 4, Pittsburgh's only news chopper, was over the scene where police were speaking with a suspect sitting on the roof of a house at Alice Street and Grimes Avenue.

Livingston could be seen standing up, smoking, then sitting back down as what appeared to be an officer spoke with him through an open window.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 has confirmed with officials that officers were working to serve a warrant at the location.
