Ford has recalled more than 100,000 vehicles for faulty door trim , which could be a road hazard.

Ford Motor Company issued a recall on Sept. 12 for 101,944 2016-2019 Taurus sedans because the driver and front passenger door trims may detach while driving. Ford estimates that only about 1% of qualifying vehicles are impacted by the defect, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall report .

As of Sept. 5, Ford is aware of 452 warranty claims filed because of the door trim, according to the NHTSA report. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the recall.
