A former Boston Police sergeant has been indicted on serious charges, alleging that he repeatedly raped a 14-year-old boy.
BPD Sgt. Paul Downey, 57, of West Roxbury, was indicted by a Suffolk Superior Court grand jury on Friday.
He faces charges of four counts of rape of a child aggravated by age difference, two counts of engaging in sexual conduct with a child under 18 for a fee, and two counts of enticement of a child under 16 to engage in commercial sex activity.
