[DUBUQUE, Iowa] — The City of Dubuque Planning Services Department is inviting public feedback on designing a new outdoor community space in the Historic Millwork District. This initiative aims to transform a temporary parking lot into a multi-use plaza and park as envisioned in the area’s master plan.

The original master plan, adopted in 2009, proposed a 0.70-acre community space called Foundry Square at the corner of Tenth Street and Elm Street. A temporary parking lot was established in 2012 to address parking needs during the construction of the Intermodal Parking Facility, completed in 2015. Now, the district offers ample parking with over 500 public off-street spaces and additional metered spots nearby.
