Thursday night, the Southwestern Warriors hosted district foe Somerset Christian in a crosstown rivalry game. The two teams are having opposite seasons to say the least, as the Warriors have won just one game while the Cougars have claimed the victory in 10 contests. The skid for the Warriors continued at the Wig Wam, as they fell 3-1 (25-19, 25-27, 28-26, 25-14).

The Warriors started the first game with a 5-0 lead behind the serves of sophomore Amelia Frey. Caroline Mounce brought the Cougars within one before an error tied the set up. Catherine Hardy was able to serve six straight points, and the Cougars ended the set on a 6-0 run to take a 1-0 lead after claiming the set 25-19.
