From 12 October, fresh regulations will come into effect for air travel, which means British holidaymakers will no longer get cherished passport stamps when entering and leaving a country - a development that has left numerous Brits gutted. Many treasure their passports as proof of their European adventures, frequently flaunting the packed pages to mates and relatives, as it can look really impressive. ‌

But from mid-October onwards, this type of showing off will be consigned to history as airport protocols face major overhauls.
