CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Anthony James Lang, a former CEO of a telecommunications provider in the Northern District of Iowa, was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison for stealing over $600,000 from his employer. Lang, 42 of Jesup, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud on April 9. Federal prosecutors say his fraudulent activities spanned from January 2017 to January 2023, during which he exploited his position as CEO to access and misuse company funds. Chief Judge C.J. Williams sentenced Lang to 38 months in prison, describing his actions as driven by greed. Lang must also pay $662,736 in restitution and will serve a three-year supervised release following his prison term.
