STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — After hearing arguments in the 2024 burglary of a popular Staten Island restaurant, jurors this week took just two hours to return a verdict.

The defendant, Jeffrey Reader, 34, of Tessa Court in Stapleton, was found guilty on Thursday of third-degree burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools in connection with the Nov. 17 incident at Beso at 70 Bay St. in St. George.
