WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — The world's largest masonry challenge has come to West Jordan Utah.

"AI cannot do this," Michael Kohut, the regional manager for Interstate Brick said during Friday's event. "What they're trying to show the future [generations] is if you work hard and you do it right, you have job protection."

The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 was hosted in Utah Friday. Masons from across the region competed for the title of "Utah's Best Bricklayer."

The series kicked off at Interstate Brick in West Jordan Friday at 10 a.m. The event is one of over 20 qualifying series held across North America.
