A man with half a dozen protective orders barring him from contacting a woman was arrested on Monday at a motel in Vernon where he allegedly assaulted her and tried fleeing in a vehicle and on foot when police arrived.
Officers responded to the Vernon Motel on the report of a domestic disturbance and allegedly found a man and a woman involved in a “heated altercation” while getting into a pickup truck, according to the Vernon Police Department .
