SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — The Sumter County Sheriff's Office has made a third arrest in a deadly July shooting.

Authorities said 18-year-old Darrone Terrell McCray Jr. of Santee was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Authorities said McCray was found in Florence on Thursday morning with the help of the U.S. Marshals Task Force.

His arrest comes after 20-year-old Cameron Deshawn Pearson was shot and killed during an argument on Bluegrass Court on July 1. Two other suspects, 18-year-old Nyasia Nicole Vaughn and a 16-year-old, were arrested on July 2. Vaughn is being held without bond, and the juvenile was petitioned to Family Court.
