JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- Charges of murder and attempted murder have been filed in Johnson County against an Indianapolis man accused of killing an innocent bystander during a deadly shooting in Greenwood.
Greenwood police believe the man killed in the shooting was not the intended target.
The suspect allegedly tried to shoot another man, but missed and killed 22-year-old Bidan Mburu by mistake.
The tragic incident took place late Tuesday night at the Westminster apartments in Greenwood.
Mburu was shot in the head and later died, following an argument he had nothing to do with.
Court records detail how 21-year-old Isiah Peak Jr. allegedly got into a domestic dispute with the mother of his child.
Because Peak had repeatedly threatened to shoot her, the woman called her brother for help
