Considerable opposition has been expressed regarding a plan to build three apartment buildings in the Minnow Lake area.

The property in question is located on Bancroft Drive, between Seguin Street and Avalon Road, and each building is designed to be three storeys in height, comprising 28 units apiece, for a total of 84.

The city’s planning committee will vote this Monday on a rezoning application to advance the development, as recommended by staff.

Nearly two-dozen residents have attached their names to a list of concerns from Aarne Punkkinen, who resides on Avalon Road, while several others have written or called in separately to voice their objections.
