KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - He is DC’s masked crusader and he has a day set aside to celebrate him.

We’re talking Batman and on Sept. 20, comic fans around the world will celebrate the comic hero.

“We of course all love Batman here, so to celebrate all of the deals on Batman we’re going to have, we’re actually bringing in legendary comic book inker Mike DeCarlo. He worked on the Batman run back in the 1980’s and specifically as an inker, his job was to give Batman his shadow,” said Nirvana Comics Co-Owner Grant Mitchell.

On top of welcoming DeCarlo to the shop, deals galore will be held to celebrate the day.

For Mitchell and his wife Jasmine, owning the store and celebrating days like Batman Day are what owning a comic book store is all about.
