Senior police officers failed in their statutory responsibilities to protect abused and exploited children in Rotherham.

That’s the devastating finding published today by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

It follows a Channel 4 News investigation in January into the organisation’s handling of complaints by two whistleblowers who exposed the abuse scandal and wanted senior officers held to account.
