SUMTER, S.C. — Sumter Police Department say a teen last seen on Tuesday has now been found safe.

Police posted the update around 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, saying he "was located and is safe."

Officers had previously said the 15-year-old was last seen around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday walking away from his home on Hauser Street.

Butler-Dicks is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark sweatpants and a light-blue shirt, and carrying a gray backpack.
