The character of Peacemaker, currently headlining his own HBO Max series halfway through its second season, is actually not originally a DC Comics hero. He was first introduced as a character in the now-defunct publisher Charlton Comics back in 1966. Other Charlton Comics heroes in the line include the original Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, and a handful of others. DC purchased all the Charlton heroes in 1984, incorporating them into the larger DC Universe after Crisis on Infinite Earths . Now, a fan asked Gunn on Threads directly if the other Charlton heroes were coming to his DCU, and he replied, “You might be in luck.”
