PENTICTON — After your first child is born, I like to say, you discover how much time you were wasting.

After you second child is born, you then discover you have still been wasting time.

That’s the world Thatcher Demko is in now. When I put the premise to the Vancouver Canucks ’ No. 1 goalie after the first day of training camp at the South Okanagan Events Centre, he smiled, knowingly.

Demko and his wife Lexie welcomed daughter Penelope to the world this summer, child No. 2 after their son Dawson, born in 2023.
