Songwriter Brett James died in a plane crash on September 18. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, "A Cirrus SR22T crashed in a field in Franklin, North Carolina, around 3 p.m. local time on Thursday, Sept. 18. Three people were on board." ABC News reports that the other passengers, Melody Carole and Meryl Maxwell Wilson, both from Tennessee, were also killed in the crash, citing the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
