The first phase of getting tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup came to an end on Friday morning.

The first lottery ticket process, which required fans to have a Visa card to enter, began on Wednesday, Sept. 10. There were fans from a total of 2016 countries that entered the draw. Those who did enter will be notified of their application status on Monday, Sept. 29, with time slots for purchasing tickets beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

The United States had the most entries for the lottery, with Mexico and Canada rounding out the top three. The rest of the top-10 list, in order, as provided by FIFA, consisted of Germany, England, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, and Italy.
