The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a person was injured in a shooting at a Strip resort Friday morning.

According to police, the shooting occurred at 10:07 a.m. at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

“At least two windows on the west side of the building appear to have been struck by gunfire,” police said in an email. “It is believe at this time that the shooting occurred off the Mandalay Bay property from an unknown location to the west.”

Authorities said one person was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police said that the person was injured as a result of glass that was broken during the shooting.

No further information was immediately available.
